About Hermie Homes

Hermie Homes, a leading property-based company in Kampala, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our administrative processes and providing essential support to various departments within the company.

At Hermie Homes, our work is powered by Asana task management — a platform that helps us stay organized, accountable, and transparent. Every team member is expected to understand and actively use Asana to manage daily tasks, track progress, and continuously learn through structured workflows.

Primary Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the management team.
  • Manage schedules, appointments, and travel arrangements.
  • Handle correspondence (emails, phone calls, and mail).
  • Maintain and organize office files, records, and documents.
  • Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and other materials.
  • Coordinate meetings and events, including venues and logistics.
  • Perform data entry and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders as needed.
  • Manage office supplies and ensure the office environment is well-maintained.
  • Input and track information, updates, and deliverables in Asana.
  • Follow up on client issues until they are resolved.
  • Prepare and track expense reports.
  • Develop and manage spreadsheets.
  • Prepare reports for senior staff or management.

Qualifications / Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Statistics, Economics, or Entrepreneurship.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other software.
  • Ability and willingness to learn and use Asana daily.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.
  • High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Discretion and confidentiality.
